In order to complete or update your tax forms, please visit Account Management/Account Administration/Update W8.

Please note that if we do not receive updated tax forms by May 15, 2006, we may be required by the IRS to apply additional tax withholding to certain transactions in your account to meet US regulations.

We greatly appreciate your assistance with this matter.

Habéis recibido algo igual? No me gustaría pagar impuestos en USA y no entiendo bien cómo rellenarlo. Me podéis dar alguna indicación?

Pues yo estoy en lo mismo.

Por lo visto lo envian a todos los clientes, no te preocupes..
Y por lo que tengo entendido es simplemente un tipico formulismo.

Para los no residentes de EEUU, en caso de no rellenar el W-8BEN, al recibir dividendos de acciones negociadas en el mercado americano, se les retiene en vez del 15 el 30 por ciento.


En interactivebroker el W-8BEN viene todo rellenado, excepto en la parteII en el apartado -9a que hay quen indicar el país de residencia.
